Peacock Reproduction

Peacocks are polygamous. They reach sexual maturity between 8 and 10 months of age. Peahens will lay 3 to 5 eggs. They nest on the ground. The incubation period is 28 days. Female peacocks are excellent mothers. Chicks stay with their families for about 9 months.
